Who is responsible
Montoya, Kociecki & Asociados (MK Global IP), Cra. 76A No. 131-21, Bogotá, Colombia, is responsible for the personal data collected on this site. Contact: jsarcila@mkglobalip.com.
What we collect
Contact form: name, email, company and message. Renewal search registration: name, company, work email, country, language, the owner you were looking up, the date and a hashed (non-reversible) form of your IP address. Renewal or reminder requests: the marks you selected and any note you add.
Why
To answer your request, to show you the renewal deadlines you asked for, to send you the verification code and, only if you tick the box, alerts about renewal deadlines. We also keep access records to prevent abuse of the search.
Legal basis
Your explicit consent (Colombian Law 1581 of 2012 and Decree 1377 of 2013; GDPR art. 6.1(a) where it applies). You can withdraw it at any time by writing to jsarcila@mkglobalip.com.
Public register data
The renewals search shows information from the public register of the Superintendencia de Industria y Comercio (SIPI): owner name as published there, mark, registration number, classes and dates. We never show contact or identification details of owners. Owner pages are not indexed by search engines. Owners who prefer not to appear can write to jsarcila@mkglobalip.com and are removed within one business day.
Who processes it for us
Vercel (hosting, USA/EU), Supabase (database, USA), Cloudflare (bot protection) and Microsoft 365 (email). Each acts under our instructions and its own data-protection commitments. We do not sell personal data.
How long
Registration data: while your account is active and up to 5 years after your last access. Access records: 90 days. Requests: as part of the client file, per legal retention rules.
Your rights
Access, correction, deletion, objection and withdrawal of consent. Write to jsarcila@mkglobalip.com; we answer within the terms set by Colombian law. You may also complain to the Superintendencia de Industria y Comercio.
Cookies
A strictly necessary session cookie (mk_renov, 90 days) keeps you signed in to the renewals search. Google Analytics is used for aggregate statistics.
